SUBSURFACE UTILITY ENGINEERING ASSOCIATION
CHALLENGE
To evaluate the feasibility of establishing an association focused on and dedicated to the business and practice of professional subsurface utility engineering (SUE).
SOLUTION

-
Two annual national conferences were convened, both featuring key Federal agency officials among the speakers, as well as a member of Congress who chaired a key House subcommittee with jurisdiction over important SUE-related issues.
-
Liaisons established with key Federal agencies, an education program was established, and a MOU was executed with a related and allied professional society.
