CHALLENGE
Upon assuming management responsibilities for the Virginia Association of Surveyors (VAS) in 2015, Miller Wenhold Association Management (MWAM) was tasked with implementing a number of modernization initiatives. VAS had been overseen by a secretary for nearly 30 years. The transition to a professional association management company meant a new logo, website, convention upgrade, and numerous other improvements in VAS's image and operations.
SOLUTION
Under MWAM's leadership, we helped create the design of a new logo, created a new website and web-based association management system (AMS), established on-line e-commerce for dues payments and event registrations, launched the inauguration of a digital newsletter, set up the implementation of online profiles of members' continuing education credits, retained a lobbyist in the state capitol, and introduced a sponsor program for the association's annual convention.
